Mission Fellowship International Fundraising Appeal for Zambia

Dear Saints,
It is our desire to respond to the call of God's Missional heart and leave a life changing impact to the nations and communities we serve, bringing help and equipping support, delivering people from physical and spiritual poverty whilst transforming the lives of our teams who work to make this happen.

Zambia, in southern Africa, is a landlocked country of rugged terrain and diverse wildlife. On its border with Zimbabwe is famed Victoria Falls – indigenously called Mosi-oa-Tunya, or "Smoke that Thunders" – plunging a misty 108m into narrow Batoka Gorge. A country where in a city 20% of the population is HIV positive and the opportunity to go to school is rare. Over 80% of children living on the streets have no access to formal education.

We have been working on building a rescue centre for young girls living on the streets of Zambia. Many of these young girls are or have been in abusive situations and are at a high risk of contracting (if they do not already have) HIV/AIDS as well as being exposed to substance abuse.

Christina reports from Zambia: "The poverty is at times overwhelming with street children dying every week, through rough life scavenging the rubbish dump, wearing dirty and torn clothing and exploited. The Challenge is great! Can we help these children and get them off the streets? What would Jesus do?"

Let us personally vow to pray and give support to this missional work on a regular basis.

It is our desire to help create a safe-haven for the young children to come and receive help in whatever form it is needed. Whilst also providing outreach and sharing the gospel, ministering to their practical and spiritual needs.

£4,500 is a large sum for one person but if we all work together it is more than achievable! With this in mind we ask you to pray and you give whatever you are able to as every contribution counts!
